Kyle | Des Moines High School Senior Photographer

I recently got to photograph Kyle’s senior photos. I have worked with his dad, Dennis (of Des Moines’ Best DJ Services) a few times and he asked if I would take his son’s senior photos. I let Kyle pick the spot and he chose Maffitt Lake, which I had never even heard of, but loved! This hidden spot might become one of my favorite photo locations, there are so many perfect little areas with open fields and views of the lake. Not to mention the light! It has been so overcast and hazy this summer, I had forgotten what it’s like to photograph in beautiful light! This didn’t mean that haze and heat were gone, nope, it was actually (or felt like) one of the hottest days of the summer. Looking at these photos though, it looks like the heat had little effect on Kyle! Enjoy a few of my favorites!
