Bridget & Jesse | Des Moines, IA Wedding Photographer

I have certainly been looking forward to sharing these images from Bridget and Jesse’s wedding day. These two had one of my favorite engagement sessions last fall – they have been the only couple willing to get up before sunrise for their photos. We were even surprised with steam coming off the water. That morning I got to learn all about Bridget and Jesse’s relationship. How they met and then next day went on their first date at Jester Park (also where we took their engagement photos). And I got to hear the sweet story of Jesse’s proposal. How he asked Bridget to be his wife on the fourth of July while his family stood by with sparklers.

These two said their I do’s at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church and celebrated into the night at the Izaak Walton League. In between the ceremony and reception we stopped by Water Works Park and found some beautiful light. Even though we had to battle it out with the mosquitoes, I’d say that the end result in the photos was definitely worth a few bug bites!
